There was a little money floating round still
A man could be seen in a stretched limousine
Looking like he’s dressed to kill
Then technology came & made it all free and everyone was getting their fill

The internet was all the thrill
Now streaming is king, But the folks gotta sing
To the tune of the corporate mill
The music gets played but what the artist gets paid
Ain't nothing short of criminal
It even ‘caused a rift’ with little miss Swift

Made a living for a boy like me
Gone are the days when music is paid for

Now Covid has come and my living is gone
